I was not argued into Christianity, but I was certainly argued into staying. I have harshly doubted and scrutinized my faith, it is these arguments that have shown me it is still true.

This doesn’t make any logical sense. How does something non physical contain any knowledge or power at all? This is an incoherent concept. If gods are not physical beings, then they are just manmade concepts it seems. Also, I thought gods could interact directly with humans and nature, have emotions and walk beside humans? What exactly is a spirit and how does one interact in such a manner with humans?

I totally disagree with William lane Craig here, how is it deceptive of God when He has already revealed the truth to us that He created the universe in six days? by that logic it would also be deceptive of Jesus to have created apparently aged wine in one day that would normally take 6 to 12 months to make, and he did it supernaturally, well, God created an apparently aged universe in six days supernaturally, logically we can understand why the universe would look old, because just as God created Adam as a fully mature adult in one day, God is well able to create a fully mature universe in six days, it would only seem deceptive if one only had scientific knowledge but lacked the knowledge of God's word, this is why both scientific exploration as well as knowledge of God's word is important.

I have a problem with believers stating the argument that NOTHING comes from nothing and then say that somehow God isn’t bound by that law. If God isn’t bound by that law then i see absolutely no reason for why the universe should be either. It’s like stabbing your own toe with that argument.

i think seeing the way the world is isnt a conspiracy theory. That being said being into the world government takeover thing which is very popular is a distraction from being a real Christian imo. obviously, governments fight for power and there could be groups of people trying to get power for their ideology to win the day. but at the end of the day Christ is what matters and you need to deal within the proximity of your actual real life.

The basic concept Craig articulates here is incoherent. A being that does not exist in either time nor space does not "exist" at all in any meaningul sense. Neither is his version of the Ontological argument any less arbitrary. Why, for example, would "detectability" not be one of the "greatest" characteristics of a putative god? What does this argument not also "prove" the existence of Rainbow, the "Greatest Conceivable Unicorn"? The whole thing is just a set of unfalsifiable assertions

A being with a physical brain would be able to hold a limited amount of knowledge. A being with no physical brain will be able to hold no knowledge at all. Thus, a being with a physical brain would be greater than a being without one. An omnipotent being would need an impossibly big physical brain (or another similar physical way of storing knowledge), thus an omnipotent being is impossible. (Why do people take apologists seriously is beyond me)

Thanks to Dr. Craig, I've read some of Alvin Plantinga's work, particularly his three books on Warrant. So as I'm hearing Dr. Craig call conspiracy theorists kooks, I find myself thinking that while they maybe kooks, that doesn't mean that they can't be holding justified true beliefs that come by way of intuition, which Plantinga considers a source of knowledge that solves Gettier problems if I understand him correctly. I remember sharing an audio version of C.S. Lewis' essay "Is Progress Possible? Willing Slave of the Welfare State" on Facebook during Covid and it was removed for containing "misinformation" and I was given a warning not to post it again. The same thing happened when I shared videos of Jay Bhattacharya challenging the Covid narrative, and James O'keefe's investigations. Then just last week Mark Zuckerberg comes out and says the White House pressured him to control information on Covid, which was not shocking to many, except maybe Dr. Craig. There's a conspiracy theory that turned out to be true. Then there are the Twitter files, which we wouldn't have known about if Elon Musk hadn't bought Twitter, which wouldn't have happened if the Babylon Bee hadn't refused to repent from calling a man a man. Then there was Trump being banned from every social media platform on the same day. Then there's Jeffrey Epstein. The WEF doing WEF things. Oh yeah, and Sam Harris himself has openly advocated for conspiring against what he deems a threat to democracy. Dr. Craig may remember Harris since he debated him years ago, when Harris deemed religious people psychopathic and therefore a threat to democracy.

“Argue” has a negative connotation in modern parlance. The phrase in question is representing something closer to “an argumentative spirit”. But learning today, by and large, is so heavily influenced by the emotionally inept that children cannot separate truth from how they feel about the truth.

I was also 'argued' into Christianity. I would doubt any anecdotal evidence even if it is my own. So establishing a framework based on logic was essential for me to believe. Frankly, William Lane Craig's work played a huge part in this.

It was Christian apologetics that convinced me Christianity was true and helped me make sense of the bible. It was only when I could see that science, logic and faith were 100% compatible and complimentary that I moved from being an atheist for 50 years to being a Christian. Couldn't you just, take the Bible, choose to adhere to all of it's moral principles and NOT believe in God? I feel like we're getting into a semantics game here when we're talking about good. You and I don't look at someone who believes in God and proclaim "Ah yes, belief in God, you are good!" But we would look at someone adhering to the moral principles of the Bible and say they're good. I see a problem this could present, as it does beg the question - who dictates what "good" is? But what is stopping someone from saying the Bible is a sufficient moral compass for my life, but I don't choose to believe in God. Can we not say that person is good? If we can't then it seems like there's this contingency that you need to believe in God to be good. Maybe this contingency is the point I'm not sure. No one is "good" without God. If you're looking at this from a strictly Christian perspective, we all 'fall short of the glory of God'. And then if that's the case why even say someone is good or not in the first place.
